Farmland demand cooled throughout 2014 as commodity prices continued their two-year-long decline into major lows this fall.  The slide sliced farm incomes significantly. Cash Rents Decline 5% for 2015, by Landowner Newsletter Vol 36, Issue 14 Cash rental rates across the Corn Belt declined about 3% to 7% for 2015, according t our spot check survey of more than 1,000 producers and landowners in early February.  Talk of sharply lower cash rents dominated discussions at farm meetings, kitchen tables and lender offices this fall and early winter.
