In 1997, George Clift purchased the brokerage business of Gene Scott to form Clift Scott & Associates to build the largest farm and ranch real estate in the Texas Panhandle. In 2003, George acquired Gene’s interest after he left, and the company was later renamed Clift Land Brokers in 2008.  Over the years, George continued to add agents to his team focusing on Farm & Ranch areas of the Panhandle growing Clift Land Brokers and expanding into the auction market with Clift Land Auctions.

In October of 2022, George Clift unexpectedly passed away.  Prior to his passing, George had begun rolling out a plan with associates to develop a new real estate brokerage management team under his direction.  This included a team of current Clift Land Brokers associates who possessed a vested interest in the current and future growth of team members and the company.

In January of 2023, five associate brokers carried out George’s plan by purchasing Clift Land Brokers and Clift Land Auctions.

Eric Turpen – Littlefield, Texas

Greg Good, ALC – Perryton, Texas

Hadley Perkins – Vega, Texas

Clift Land Auctions, L.P. is an affiliate of Clift Land Brokers and a pioneer in the real estate auction industry, specializing in agricultural land, developmental land, and recreational land auctions primarily in Texas and Oklahoma.  CLA also specializes in multi-parcel auctions, and is well known for their unique, meticulous, and sophisticated process of marketing real estate. Multi-parcel auctions are more complex, but the result is often more profitable for the Seller.
